Talking Fresh 6 and Sage Hill Job

Life has been a swirl of change lately. I've gone in a very short time from trying to manage my unstructured life to having a job with a structured (yet flexible) schedule which seems to be a perfect fit for my personality/skills. I've taken over from Steven Ross Smith as Executive Director of the Sage Hill Writing Experience. It's a half-time gig that will allow me the chance to continue to work on my own writing as well as pursue the optional residency MFA through UBC in the fall. I'm tremendously excited about the possibilities right now.

Plus, I just returned from the annual International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts conference in Florida. Aside from being a great conference, it's also a time to reconnect with academic friends I only see once or twice a year. And it's Florida. In March. I even managed to minimize the sunburn this year.

I'm off to Regina for Talking Fresh 6 this weekend and then the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild Board meeting on Sunday. Busy, busy, but it's all good.
