Good things come to those who blog ...
Is it just a coincidence that after I updated my blog (after how many months!?!) that I received my acceptance to UBC's optional MFA program today? Hm, I feel like I've been kind of weirdly blessed - like one of those chain letter things that you know is just a trick, but you find yourself thinking about torturing five of your friends with copies anyway.

Thank you! The optional part is the residency part. I don't think the writing is optional - in fact, I think that's pretty much a given, and since I generally work better with someone cracking a whip, I hope it will help. What it means is that I don't have to relocate to BC - I can do everything from the comfort of my home computer ... and then have the option of going out there in the summer for a residency of 10 days or so. Very cool program.
